Lotus Petal Gaming – Trade-In & Store Credit Policy



At Lotus Petal Gaming, we are proud to support our local trading card game community by offering trade-in options for customers looking to turn cards they no longer use into value toward new cards, accessories, or in-store experiences.


Our trade-in program allows customers to receive either cash or store credit for eligible cards. To ensure fair pricing and maintain a healthy inventory, the following policies apply to all trades.





Trade-In Values



All trade-ins are evaluated using current market pricing at the time the trade is reviewed.


Customers may choose one of the following options:


Cash:

50% of the current market value


Store Credit:

65% of the current market value


All values are determined by Lotus Petal Gaming staff using current market data.





How Card Values Are Determined



Trade-in values are based on current market pricing at the time the trade is evaluated.


Market value may be determined using recent sales data and recognized trading card marketplaces.


When evaluating cards, the following factors may affect value:


• Current market demand

• Recent sales data

• Card condition

• Printing, version, or set

• Current store inventory levels


Because trading card prices can change frequently, trade values may differ from previously quoted prices or prices seen online.


All trade values are confirmed with the customer before the trade is completed.





Store Credit Usage



Store credit may be used toward the following:


• Trading card singles

• Accessories (sleeves, deck boxes, binders, dice, etc.)

• Select weekly in-store events


Store credit cannot be used toward:


• Sealed products (booster packs, booster boxes, bundles, etc.)

• Pre-orders or prerelease products

• Special events with external entry costs or prize support


Store credit is issued digitally and has no cash value.





Card Condition & Acceptance



All cards are evaluated based on condition and demand.


Cards accepted for trade generally fall within the following condition ranges:


• Near Mint (NM)

• Lightly Played (LP)

• Moderately Played (MP)


Cards with significant damage, excessive wear, or poor condition may be declined or valued at a reduced rate.


Lotus Petal Gaming reserves the right to decline any trade at our discretion.





Bulk Card Program



Lotus Petal Gaming accepts bulk cards for store credit under the following guidelines.


Commons / Uncommons

1,000 cards = $5 store credit


Bulk Rares

100 rares = $10 store credit


Bulk Mythics

25 mythics = $10 store credit


Bulk cards must meet the following requirements:


• Cards must be sorted by type

• No basic lands or tokens

• Cards must be in playable condition

• Bulk must be organized in groups of 1,000 or 100 where applicable


Bulk trades may be limited based on store capacity.





Trade Processing Time



Trade evaluations may take time depending on store traffic and the number of cards being reviewed.


During busy store hours or event nights, trade processing may take up to 24–48 hours.


Customers will be notified once their trade has been reviewed and finalized. We appreciate your patience while our staff carefully evaluate cards to ensure fair and accurate pricing.





Trade-In Process



When trading cards at Lotus Petal Gaming:


  1. Store staff will review and evaluate the cards.
  2. Current market values will be determined.
  3. Customers may choose between cash or store credit based on the trade value.
  4. Once the trade is completed and payment or credit is issued, all trades are final.



Customers may be asked to confirm the final value before completing the transaction.





Additional Notes



• Valid identification may be required for cash trades.

• Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Trade-in policies may change based on inventory needs and market conditions.





Policy Changes & Final Decisions



Lotus Petal Gaming reserves the right to refuse trades, limit quantities, or adjust trade-in policies at any time based on market conditions, inventory needs, or store capacity.


All trade values and final decisions are determined at the discretion of Lotus Petal Gaming staff.





Trade-In FAQ



Do I need an appointment to trade cards?

No appointment is required. Customers may bring cards to trade during normal store hours. Large trades or trades brought in during busy event nights may require additional time to process.


How long does it take to process a trade?

Most trades can be evaluated the same day, however during busy store hours or large trade submissions processing may take up to 24–48 hours.


Can I choose between cash and store credit?

Yes. Customers may choose either 50% cash or 65% store credit based on the current market value of the cards being traded.


Can I trade bulk cards?

Yes. Lotus Petal Gaming offers a bulk card program for commons, uncommons, rares, and mythics that meet our sorting and condition requirements.
